OM :: The Random Points You Home

I was going to write another moment this morning, but with the news of the 8.9 earthquake off the coast of Japan, all moments seem to fade to the background.

The randomness of this makes us all aware of how alike we are. Can you relate to a tsunami if you live in Nebraska? Probably not, but you can understand the random and indiscriminate devastation of a tornado. Have you experienced a hurricane if you live in the middle of Canada? No, but you know how a blizzard can be dangerous.

My moment is letting the small stuff fall away today and remembering what I am so lucky to have… a place to call home. Sending good thoughts and hope to all the people and animals that will be affected by this earthquake and its ripple effects.

  1. Wow. We are on the same page today! My family had the same conversation this morning. We have never endured a hurricane, a tornado or an earthquake of such magnitude, so how can we grasp their devastating effects? We can’t. We can only have compassion for those effected.
