My five-year-old is getting married. Her name is Alexa and she rides Bus No. 4. She’s a friend of Breanne’s, so she must be okay.
My eight-year-old has a girlfriend. Her name is Sydney and I don’t know what bus she rides. She’s friends with Ally, so she must be okay.
I was informed of both of these facts this week.
Random people, both friends and strangers, have often remarked that I would be in trouble with these two handsome boys someday.
Is it someday already?
When I mentioned that there should be no kissing, they both yelled “Ewwww!” at the top of their lungs.
Maybe someday isn’t here yet, so I must be okay.

OMG, so funny! I am so lucky that this happened with my boys yet, but I know it’s only a matter of time!
Oh, young love! What an endearing post & story to treasure. Thank you for sharing.
What a great post and nicely written. Wow, two marriage announcements in one week! That’s a lot for a mom to absorb. I can hear the EWWWWW all the way in RI. Or, maybe that’s my 9yo running away from jut the thought of girls. If it were up to him, he’d marry the dog.
14yo got embarrassed last night because I sensed and then asked about a girl in the picture for tonight’s school “dance.” He blushed, grinned, and yelled, “Mom, just stop!” It’s someday with him.

This is so sweet, and at the same time, terrifying. Kate has been betrothed to a boy since she was three. It’s bizarre. They send each other drawings in the mail and have imaginary conversations on Buzz Lightyear cell phones. Is it good or bad… who knows? But, I’m not looking forward to someday.
oh gosh, i love it! my little kindergartner hasn’t got an interest in one particular girl, but has a whole slew of admirers. i think he likes it that way, he is quite coy!
enjoy those two boys of yours, they seem like such sweethearts.
