I’ve always lived in a place that had the change of seasons. At my ripe old age, I don’t think I could live anywhere that didn’t have four distinct changes to the year.
Fall feels like a renewal to me. Not in the same way spring does with all it’s nervous pent-up winter energy waiting to scream forth. Fall is calm and releases you from a hectic summer. It feels like it lets you move on and get back to the business of life, relieved to embrace a routine.
The change of seasons is so visceral – I believe that’s why I dig them so much. Fall has that crisp air and school buses and crunchy leaves and cute sweaters. My moment is my readiness to give Fall a big ol’ hug.

My feelings exactly :)I was born in the middle of fall and just can’t wait each year to tread on crispy leaves and get out the best clothes of the year 🙂
Beautiful picture and well written post! I hate to say though, that you and I are very different 😉
I’m not ready for fall. While I love the season of fall, I dread what follows –winter.

Wow, that picture is fantastic! I do love the Fall. It used to be my favorite season but now it means winter is around the corner. I’m not a fan of winter.
Change is renewal is always good. With the kids heading back to school and their year beginning anew, it feels good to have a clean slate going into autumn. Great moment!!
