It’s been hot in my little part of the world.
So I’ve been swimming often.

It’s my favorite thing.

This photograph is something referred to as SOOC (straight out of the camera). Not sure what that means, but no one would deny that this brown fur is pretty photogenic. I’m more concerned with the ball I’m looking at than aperture and wishing there would be more throwing than clicking. I got my wish… woof.

Hello Sunshine. So nice to see you. I know that humans probably think dogs don’t care about seeing the sun, that we’re just as joyful to be outside in any weather. But a warm sun makes all creatures happy.

Assignment: Dog 52 :: Week 26

We’re all on vacation this week, which is a good thing. I’ve been practically trapped in a loop for days because of the weather. I go from the house to the driveway to a path I created in the front yard to the double pines and back. Repeat. It’s nice to see new surroundings and some old dog friends. But I sure do miss my Kong (and my family.)

I know, I know! Another photo of me in the snow… there are two reasons for this. One is the unbelievable amount we’ve received here in just one month. You just can’t get away from it. Two is ignorance. We have a fancy new camera and need to learn manual settings to take decent shots inside (away from the insidious snow.)
Life always has a learning curve, doesn’t it?

  1. I love how much the dogs are enjoying the snow. Makes it a little less painful. You have more than we do!

  2. I agree, dogs seem to love it! I’m actually a little envious of the snow, we don’t have any!! Good luck with the new camera, looks like you’re learning fast.

  3. Hi Scout!

    I don’t like snow! It makes everything, and I do mean EVERYTHING, so difficult. So happy we spend winters, for the most part, here at the shore where there is no snow and I get to swim soon!

    What I LOVE about snow, is comin’ in and layin’ in front of the fireplace. 🙂

Can winter make balls even more fun? Is that even possible? When they throw it in a mound of snow, I get to dig and shove my snout in up to my ears. When I get the ball, it’s got a crust of snowy goodness that chews just right.
Oh yes, possible.
