OM :: The Little White Dog

Jane was her name and she was a feisty goddess of a dog. She passed away this week and I cried for her. I’m welling up now with tears…

I’ve only known her through the wonderful photos that her human, Sarah, has taken of her and some of the blog posts I’ve read. But I feel her loss, like she lived in my neighborhood and I scritched behind her big white ears.

People with pets know what this loss feels like. These creatures, big and small, are your family. I’ve read so many empathetic comments from Jane and Sarah’s community. It’s amazing how many lives one little dog can touch. Maybe she did live in my neighborhood after all.
