Books are an inspiration to me, always have been. And it gives me one of the best feelings to see my sons be inspired and engaged by books.
This past weekend, we ventured into New York City to visit a family member and do a little sightseeing… the Natural History Museum, taking the subway, eating (of course!) and to see the mecca of The Little Red Lighthouse and the Great Gray Bridge.

The story is about the Little Red Lighthouse and his place in the world. This is shaken up by the construction of the Great Gray Bridge. It’s a wonderful story of being tiny in a very big world, but finding your place and how you are important, no matter your size.
My boys were SO excited to actually see a character from one of their storybooks – I must say, I was excited too. Even in the rain, they had a wonderful time.
