OM :: The Avatar Comes to Life

Lots of great moments this week and it’s been a whirlwind of activity during this holiday time. I took a road trip yesterday to Rhode Island to visit my friend Linda of a la mode and to visit Craftland. Linda was nice enough to extend an invitation to me to stay at her home. The whole experience was just lovely.

Craftland was bustling and exciting and filled with so much great work from handmade artisans. It was a thrill to see some RDP paper goods among them. I was privileged to meet some of Linda’s local community and each person was so warm and welcoming. I think that is a reflection of my host, who couldn’t be more accommodating and a pleasure to be around.

Our business lives and the connections we make may seem strange to others. But those little avatars we see online are people very much like ourselves whom we bond with and, if we’re lucky, become friends.
