Monthly Goals for December

November was a crazy month for me. In keeping up with holiday orders, the Bakery class, hosting Thanksgiving and blogging for Prematurity Awareness Month, the days disappeared in a blur. The 6-week crash course in business from Bakery has been great. It’s made me think about my business in new ways and I’ve formulated a rough draft of a business plan that I’m pretty happy with. I still have a little less than two weeks to go in the course, so lots of work still to be done, but I have a great direction to start implementing (as soon as I have time!) I will blog more in depth about the course in a few weeks, so if you’re interested, let me know or stop on back.

November Business Goals

1* Take Bakery Business Course – in progress
2* Blog ahead – nope
3* Complete filing in my office – nope
4* Finish new children’s stationery designs – nope

And I’m really okay with not checking a thing off. My list for December is short and sweet.

December Business Goals

1* Finish Bakery Business Course
2* Finish Pet Stationery for giveaway and City Dog Magazine swag bags
3* Take time at end of the month to plan 2010

I’m itching to start my new ideas, but I need to do some planning first. They include a redesign of my entire site, a refocusing of my design aesthetic and a reorganization of how customers can shop for my stuff. Huge changes that require thought before action.

I would love to keep BizTips going in some form. I like being accountable once a month and seeing what you all are up to and where your biz journey is taking you. Maybe Jena can pass the reins to someone… Good luck this month everyone!

And thank you, Jena, for creating such a great environment for us to meet and learn. I’ve gained much knowledge from BizTips and watching your journey and struggles. Miss Modish is fabulous! When you make business decisions from your heart, it really shows.

  1. Good for you! It’s not about checking stuff off a list, it’s about doing what you love. Your bakery business course sounds intriguing. And delicious.

  2. It’s funny, I think sometimes making a list is about focusing and still being okay when the list doesn’t get done, because other things come up or because the list somehow helps you realise you should be doing this other thing that wasn’t on the list originally… Anyway! Have a great December, and Am looking forward to hearing more details about the Bakery Course!
