Mmmmm… a bakery. Do you know anyone who doesn’t like a bakery? And would you want to know them if they didn’t? Chocolate croissants aside, Bakery is all business.

Jaime Derringer and Erin Loechner are the collaborators behind Bakery. They are bright women, both with rich and varied backgrounds in all types of media. And they write a smart blog.
As an indie business owner, I seek guidance from many sources, especially when it comes to marketing and the overall running of said business. Juggling many business hats at once, I have certain requirements in my reads. I need insight. I need clever. I need valid. I need quick. I get all that and then some at Bakery.
I find the posts to be insightful, but down-to-earth. It’s as if you were having coffee with a friend who just happens to be super-savvy on the interwebs and shares her best secrets with you. If I hit a certain challenge in my workday, I can usually find a reference to that same challenge in the Bakery archives. The blog has just been in existence since January, but both Jaime and Erin each have other blogs you may have heard of… art & design blogs Design Milk (Jaime’s) and Design for Mankind (Erin’s.) Between them, these women get 5 million blog views per year. Yup, I think I’ll take their advice.
You can find Bakery’s blog here. And I see on their site that they will be offering eCourses soon. You can sign-up for notification or to make a suggestion for a course here. Bake those businesses!
