Who knew that having photographic product shots of digital card designs was so important? Probably many of you did, but I was in the dark for literally years! Part of the reason I didn’t think about using product shots was dependent on what I design. Most of my inventory is virtual and is printed on demand, using customer’s photos and other information and integrating that into their custom design.
But as I cruised around the net and saw the many beautiful photographs of stationery and greeting cards, I just thought DUH. Even more so when I realized how inspiring good photos can be to design. Many of my cards were created and inspired by some of the wonderful photos you see on the site. Here are some examples of the tiny amount of product shots I’ve completed. Now if only the sun would come out for a few minutes, I could take some more 🙂
