It’s that time of year. I know you feel it… that holiday rush of activities and gifts and food and shopping and chocolate! I’m feeling it too and one of the things I have to cross off my list is sending holiday cards to Operation Write Home. This is an organization I love to support. They send cards to soldiers that are far from home, so they can write to their friends and families on a handmade card. I created the card design I’m sending for a mini-blog hop OWH had in August (you can see it here).
I still need to fold and package the cards, so I’ll be busy this weekend with that, between all the Halloween-y activities. Check out Operation Write Home’s website here and if you make cards, consider sending some of your creations to OWH. They accept handmade cards all year round, so if you miss this holiday deadline on Monday, you can send general seasonal cards anytime. It’s a great way to support a soldier who wants to stay in touch with his or her loved ones at home.
