Inspiration comes from many places when you’re present enough to pay attention. I admire women entrepreneurs who run their businesses successfully and give back at the same time. I’ve been striving to do the same and support a cause or charity each month in a creative way.
I’ve seen the word HOPE quite a bit recently from some of these talented entrepreneurs. Cathe from Feterie participated in The Week of Hope campaign, September 1-7 this year to support Hope is in the Cards. It’s a movement started by Russ Haan to raise our nation’s spirit and give hope in difficult times. Feterie.com is continuing its support of Hope by offering a postage stamp with each card ordered through the end of the year.
Alli at BirdDog Press, maker of all things letterpress, is stamping the word HOPE on the back of envelopes and providing postage for some of her select greetings in honor of Hope is in the Cards. You can read about how Alli was inspired to contribute on her blog here.
My contribution this month is similar. Inspired by the ladies above and Russ Haan, I created a bookmark to support Breast Cancer Awareness in October. With every order in October, I will include two bookmarks. One is to keep and one is to send or give to someone that needs a little encouragement. A small gesture, but one that can be significant and meaningful.
