A Friday Quickie

As in Blog Post.

On the business-side of things: I have not designed anything for Halloween. Just not feeling it, so I’m letting myself “let it go.” I’m concentrating on the big holiday season from now through the end of the year. I may be out of this full-time business in 2010 and back to working in the world somewhere, if this season falls short of what’s needed. I’m grateful for this time that I’ve had and will work as hard as I am able to be successful and keep this as my “real” job.

Still not feeling well, which means I’m exhausted in a non-exaggerating way. I’m hoping extra meds and sneaking in some rest here and there will get me back on track. Not easy with the chillins… Speaking of kids and exaggeration, my kids have been saying they are “starving.” After hearing it over and over again, I had to remind them what it actually means to be starving. I know, Mommy = buzzkill. But they do need an awareness outside themselves and I believe that’s a big part of my job (until they start ignoring me all the time, of course.)

Off to strip beds and clean – we’re having an overnight guest tonight! And she’ll have to use the boys’ bathroom, so I have many hours of scrubbing to bring it up to company standards.

Here’s a cute picture of the little men who keep me running and laughing and aggravated and hopeful. Happy weekend y’all.

  1. oh, those boys are aDORable! i hope you are feeling better by now. i totally cannot really ever get myself excited about halloween, so i sort of just pretend it’s not happening in my schedule (which is good, since it would insert about twenty other things into my to-do list that i do NOT need). i’m having enough trouble keeping up with the to do list i already have! keep your chin up! we can do this!
