My friend, Angie, is having a link-up for the book, Drawing Lab on her blog. She’s going to attempt the weekly assignments with the three generations of her family and is inviting anyone else to draw along.
The boys and I did the first lab, which is to draw cats in bed. Many cats, much giggling, and repeated requests to do the next lab right away. It’s been a busy week, so we didn’t get to progress farther than line drawings, but it was a fun and successful first lab. The evidence is below… the favorites we picked are indicated in red.

Angies’ link-up is live here. Stop by to post your link with her lab.

I love them! I can’t believe how much they LOOK like cats – I really struggled to do that. I adore Eli’s cat teeth. He should be drawing tigers! Abe’s boxing cat (above his favorite) reminds me of my childhood cat batting a toy – a happy memory. From your selection, I’m in love with the kitty in the lower left corner. He deserves to be the star of a greeting card!
Very nice collection of cats! They all seem to have distinct personalities. I’m w/ Angie, I some of those cats making it to your collection.
Loving the stretched out kitty in the bottom set of cats.
