IndieBizChat on Twitter

Oh Twitter, I am your fickle friend. I both love and not love some of things you offer. I love that you give me access to people as I work from home and stare at my screen for a good part of the day. I’ve met some great people and it’s all because of you. Although, sometimes, I will tweet a real person a question/comment and never get a response, but I guess that’s not your fault, Ms. Twitter. Could it be incomplete upbringing, stalker-fear or just plain rude? Hmmm… I love that you have all sorts of groups to tweet with from pet people to moms to designers to indie biz owners. It really can be a rich experience, so thank you. But can you help me not spend too much of the day on my Tweetdeck, Twitter? I’d appreciate that.

One of those rich experiences came last night with my first #indiebizchat created by Crissy Herron. This chat is perfect for me and my business, as it speaks to the independent business owner, who works for herself. Crissy has a site called Indie Biz Chicks and the tagline says it all, “For women who’d rather work for themselves than work for the man.” Don’t you love that?

Crissy’s site is filled with great information for business chicks like me. If you share this passion for your own business, take a look and click around. There is also an Indie Biz Chicks Conference coming up on November 17 and 18, which is on-line and free. I’m excited to attend. If you’re interested, just click here.

I’m not the only one who got excited and blogged about #indiebizchat. Check out TwirtyGrrl’s post here! She’s just beginning to Give Good Blog, which was the theme last night. I believe #indiebizchat is every Monday at 9pm ET, so bring your hashtag and come join in next time.

And thanks, Twitter. I’ll try not to be so fickle about you. But don’t take it personally… I have the same relationship with Facebook.

Pet Sympathy Card

So, RiverDog Prints is creating designs to send as sympathy cards. This is our first attempt and we’d love to know what you think… You…Continue Reading
