They got me at the shelter, but they don’t know where I was before that and I won’t tell them.
What nicknames do the humans call you?
Chip, Chippy, Baby Girl, ChipperJones, Miss America, Pumpkin face, Alligator Pie
Do you like any of your nicknames?
I like it best when she calls me Chippy or Baby Girl
What is your favorite walk/hike?
There is this park by our house where a lot of other dogs go…I like to go there and smell forever. I tell my girl it’s like Downton Abbey for dogs.
What kind of pack dog are you (the A-dog; in the middle; ready to please)?
I try to sass and boss and they let me a lot, but sometimes they tell me to stop. And I do.
What toy(s) would you recommend to other dogs?
Mmm…I don’t really like toys really.
What is your go to toy?
I don’t know why I don’t really like toys.
What is the most fashionable thing you wear?I like to be naked at all times. But they did buy me a really pretty collar that I wear when we go walking.
If you’re a reader, what is your favorite book?
I don’t know how to read.
What is the oddest thing you’ve ever done?
Spent an hour moving my stick all over the backyard to different hiding spots.
What is your favorite thing to roll in?
Anything really smelly. Like bird poop.
When you bark to other dogs, what do you usually say?
Do you want to play chase?
What is the treat you will do anything for?
Pretty much any of them! But I am particularly crazy about those little soft Buddy Biscuits that look like little guys.
What act caused you to receive the greatest punishment?
Rolling in smelly things. They give me a bath. And scold me.
How do you feel about cats?
I am pretty curious about them. I want to chase them and play with them at the same time. There is one that comes in our backyard a lot–once we had a staring contest for a long time. I think I won.
What is your greatest skill?
I can bring in the paper.
If you could speak only one sentence in your human’s language, what would you say?
More food!
What is your favorite human food?
Asparagus. Crazy about it.
If you could be granted 3 wishes, what would they be?
All the food I want (which is a lot), lots of snuggles and to not have to get cleaned after I dig outside.
What do you love most about your human?
She talks sweet to me and rubs my ears. She gives me goodies too.

We got her from SLCo Animal Shelter

Chip, Chippy, ChipperJones, Alligator Pie, Pumpkin pie face, the most beautiful girl in the world, Baby, Little Girl
What words does your dog understand?
Sit, shake, come, goodie, chicken, stick, outside, inside, get the paper, snuggle, no more (her most unfavorite phrase), walk, wait, stop, go, leave it, shower (another unfavorite), and front door.
What is the best thing you’ve taught your dog?
To fetch the paper for my disabled father…she gets a goodie for it and it makes him laugh (plus he gets the paper!)

Sometimes!
Do you have other animals?
Nope.
How does your dog make you laugh?
When she prances around with her stick in her mouth. When she wants to shake hands (paws) when she is in trouble. When she does zoomies in the snow.
Is there any weird behavior you’d like to share about your dog?
She desperately wants to go out, so I let her and then she stands on the deck for all of 10 seconds and wants to come back in.
What is your favorite walk/hike to take?
We have a walking trail by our home that is a beautiful walk. But she’s not crazy about it because from time to time she’ll get burrs in her paws.
What toy(s) would you recommend to other dog owners?
She has a red Buster Cube that we put treats in that she pushes around to get them out. It keeps her busy and engaged for a few minutes.
What is the best toy you’ve given your dog?
Probably the Buster Cube.
Where does your dog sleep?
Fall and Winter, on the bed. Spring and Summer on the floor or her bed…she gets too hot.
If your dog could speak only one sentence, what would he/she say?
I’m still hungry!
What is the most annoying behavior your dog exhibits?
Wanting to go out and in 28 million times a day.
Does your dog wear anything fashionable?
We got a super cute collar from Etsy for her (http://www.etsy.com/listing/63561498/15-gypsy-martingale-collar). It’s a martingale collar because she learned how to slip out of a regular collar, but we are very gentle with her.
Has your dog ever destroyed anything in your home?
She once chewed up a sandal and a calculator. That was when she was much younger.
What do you love most about your dog?
She is just such a kind soul–so gentle with children and small dogs. But she also has some sass in her!
