Hello. I don’t have much time to post, but wanted to give my regular readers an update on my dad. He came through his surgery fairly well. It took him a very long time to wake up from the procedure and he was disoriented and scared when he did open his eyes. But the medical staff assured me that this was “normal” in some cases and they let him rest throughout the night.
The next day, he was awake in the morning, but supremely grumpy. So much so, that I wrote on the dry erase board provided for family info, “He is not usually this grumpy!” That was a big hit for everyone, including my dad, as the day wore on.
He is doing much better and seems like himself, albeit very tired. Thank you all so much for your kind words, thoughts and prayers. You’ve helped me through a difficult time and thank you doesn’t do your support justice.
Anyway, I’m off to the hospital for a visit, hoping to finish some orders and desperately want to fit in a workout (it’s been a week since I’ve done anything.) But what’s a post without pictures? Here are a couple more of my dad that I quickly scanned this morning (1. [at the top of the post] In his dress USAF uniform around 1952; 2. Taken in Korea during the war 3. Our Wisconsin home around 1975)

Have a great Monday!
