A few things about Veteran’s Day this year:
I’m participating in a Blog Hop for Operation Write Home, one of RiverDog Prints’s favorite organizations. They send handmade cards to troops overseas, so the troops can use them to keep in touch with family and friends. Check out the site here and if you’re feeling crafty, you can make some cards and send them along!

Next up, a bit of a shameful admission. Months (and I mean MONTHS) ago, I saw that Sweethearts was making new patriotic hearts in support of the USO’s Operation USO Care Package. This USO program distributes about 25,000 packages a month to troops around the world. Sweethearts wanted to get the word out about their efforts and the new hearts by sending them to bloggers, who would then post completed crafts. I have discovered that I’m just not the kind of blogger who will review products in a timely way. I blog in a very random way about the things that move me. My heartfelt (no pun) apologies go to my contact at Necco/Sweethearts. So, with the last patriotic holiday of the year, I’m sharing some product photos and hope that you will check out the links to the USO and Sweethearts.
