44 x 44 with 222 Days To Go

click image for creditIt’s been a week since I put this proclamation out in the world and I’m feeling pretty good about it. As I journey through these next 222 days, I want to share any knowledge I’ve gathered in my 43 years and explore the stuff I’m still trying to figure out.

We’re all busy, busy, busy. It can be difficult to make time to exercise. But there is only one way to think about working out. You have to do it everyday. It doesn’t have to be formal, like taking a class or going to the gym. You just have to move and you have to do it everyday. The key is finding what you enjoy and making a time and place for it. Everyday. Really.

I have found many ways to exercise that I enjoy. I’ve been pretty consistent throughout my life with exercising. If I wasn’t, with all the stress eating I do, I would be that 300lb. contestant on The Biggest Loser. Most of my workouts are outside, as I don’t like using machines or being indoors when I could be out. I hike, power walk, bike, XC ski and sometimes run. Most of these I do with my dog. Power Yoga is the one workout I love that is usually inside and it’s a good balance to my outside cardio workouts. You may like an entirely different list of activities, but that’s the point.

Do what you like. Everyday.

Sounds like a good way to live…

I took a big ol’ digger after this was taken, but I did it with a smile on my face.
Get moving today, even if it’s something small to get you started. You’ll feel great, I promise.
