It’s been quite a week for Scout. Our girl had to have a cyst removed from her eyelid, which required general anaestetic and a whole day at the vet.
Scout has never had to wear a cone before and it has been a pain in the arse for all involved. I feel badly for her because she basically has tunnel vision and her domain is our wooded yard. To see her traversing her normal routes induces “Awww…”s and sad snickering. And no one is going to miss the sound of plastic cone on furniture, trees, walls, door jambs, children and cabinetry.
Complaining, done! This is but a small blip in our family life, and in the end, makes us appreciate our healthy, daily lives all the more. You rock that cone, Scout. You have many make-up face rubs coming your way.
