The Meetup – March Goals

It is “in like a lion” here in the Northeast today, windy and cold and gray. The sun is supposed to show its face on Friday and the ground beneath my feet is intact, so it’s all good!

I forgot that in February, we had a full week of vacation away from home (and away from wi-fi) and that I would have to work on my taxes! From the looks of the list, not so good. Looks are deceiving though…

I’m pretty satisfied with what I accomplished this month and most of my goals are in the works. They were pretty lofty for a short month anyway 🙂 I did finish MN Week on my blog and enjoyed sharing all those people with the world (at least, my small bit of the world.) Blogging every day with research and photos and editing is a full-time job. It made me appreciate a really good content blog even more!

March is looking b-u-s-y! It can be difficult getting everything I want to accomplish done in the three days I have by myself (with the exception of the dog, but she’s our most well-behaved child anyway.) Trying a new daily plan of getting to bed early and up early. I used to love getting up in the wee hours and getting a jump on the day. I find when I work late, I am less productive (and crankier the next day.)

That is one hearty list! I’m ready for it. How about yours? I’ll see you soon.

  1. Sounds like we’ve both got a few business related goals going on this month. Somehow it always helps to revive my creativity when I have a these task oriented types of things to do. Maybe it’s just because I’m so excited to get back to something that doesn’t involve numbers! 🙂 Good luck!

  2. Wow, great job for Feb – looks like you have a full March ahead of you also! Can’t wait to see what you’ve got for the etsy store! Love the bed-time goal! I never seem to get that one to stick – good luck for March 🙂

  3. wow – inspiring and daunting bedtime/wakeup goals you have there! I’ve been having enough trouble getting up at 8 every day 🙂

    Good luck in March!

  4. I have to say, I loved your MN series. It was so well thought out and comprehensive. Everyday was a treat. I know how much work goes into those sorts of posts and you did an amazing job.

I think you are really onto something by including daily habits as part of your goal set. Cleaning the office 10 minutes a day and having the self discipline to go to bed early and wake up early will have such an big impact on your productivity.

Again, we are on the same path. I’m so happy to have a friend out there in the big scary world!

  5. Whoa – that is one HECKUVA list you’ve got there! I know what you mean about the early morning productivity – I’ve done that for years with the day job and miss it now that I’ve got a son whose school doesn’t start til 8:45 (what’s up with that? At least I can drop him off early) Good luck with your huge plans – wish I could do Renegade with you!

  6. It is much easier for me to wake up early, as my boys are always up by 6am! This gives me a little time to get the day started before the mayhem.

Thanks, as always, for stopping by ladies! It really keeps me going…

  7. Great month Cyn, and I am going to take a page from your book re: the working late and being a little cranky. And yes, I would HIGHLY recommend the Bakery class, just a wealth of info and help, and ideas… Am hoping March will be kind to us all….

  8. I love your goals for this month. — Remembering the bigger ones, along with daily habits to implement, seems like a great idea. Good luck!

  9. i dig your ambition for march. early to bed, early to rise is a good reminder for us all. i’m interested in seeing your shop open. best wishes!

  10. Wow March is packed for you. I am with you on the last goal. I am trying to cram so much into a day that I am staying up to 12 sometimes 1 and I am sleep deprived. A good night’s rest goes a long way in making us more effective.

good luck with your goals for March!

  11. Looks like you had a productive February! Good luck with the new wake-up schedule. I woke up at 6:30 this morning without an alarm clock, but I’m not sure 5am would ever be possible for me. Also, it looks like we’re both planning on reopening our Etsy shops this month. Exciting! We can do it!

  12. Hi. I’m so glad to know I’m not the only one who’s trying to keep a sleeping routine this month. Oh wow, the Renegade Craft Fair. That sounds really fun, I hope to go there this year since I live so close by. Good luck on the rest of your goals & I hope I’ll be able to see you & your craft at the fair `=)
