\nI got into Craftland<\/a>, a month-long annual holiday craft fair in Providence, RI. (More on this soon.)

\nI may be meeting my beloved friend-at-large, Angie, next week in the audience of a TV show (if that happens, you know there will be a blog post.)
\n
\nI was contacted by a friend who will be using my canning labels for an event that will be photographed for a book.
\n
\nAll crazy-good things for which I am grateful. But my moment this week is about homework, the first of the school year. Seeing my five-year-old sit with his big brother at the dining room table and do homework was a thrill. He did not stop talking the whole time, which made it difficult for my 3rd-grader to concentrate on his new planner. (Can I just say I love 3rd grade and that he is learning to use a calendar! Hallelujah!)

\nSeeing those two little heads hovered over their work and concentrating on the task at hand is a beautiful sight. I meant to photograph them, but I must have been too blown away to remember. I think Angie’s photo of her son stands in nicely.
