My first Best of the Week for this year-long challenge is a Bergamasco. My friend, Jeanine, has four Bergamascos (see them here). Jeanine is the creator of Solstice Handcrafted, as well as two other businesses, and is heavily involved in the Bergamasco community. She asked me to draw this breed last year and it was a kick to get it right.
Bergamascos seem like very special dogs. I can’t wait to meet one in real life and I’m happy to have the breed as the first Beast of the year. Look for leash hooks, cards, wrapping paper and more with this art in the coming weeks!
