For more information on the Pet Postcard Project and how you can directly help, click the image above.<\/figcaption><\/figure>There are lots of dogs and cats on Twitter. While lurking one day, I discovered the Pet Postcard Project. Writer Nikki Moustaki<\/a> created the project to help raise awareness and feed shelter dogs. For each postcard sent via US Mail, one pound of dog food will be provided to animal shelters. Rachael Ray’s Nutrish brand is the current sponsor of donating the food and all of Rachael\u2019s proceeds for Nutrish dog food go directly to Rachael\u2019s Rescue<\/a>.

\nMy contribution to this worthy cause is asking pet owners to send photos and sentiments about their pets directly to me (and RiverDog Prints) via email and we will create a postcard for each day of the month of September. Together, we can give shelter animals 30 more pounds of food by month’s end.
