\"\"For the past couple of years, I’ve been choosing one word to follow me through the year. It’s a carefully chosen word to help improve my life across all aspects of living.

\nAs I read my one word<\/em> post from the beginning of 2011, I’m unimpressed with myself. I chose the word Harmony, which is a great word with a lot of possibilities. But if you read my post here<\/a>, I share my plans for this blog and not much more.
\n

\nWhat I’ve learned over this year is to try and roll with life as it comes, while still remaining thoughtful and active in it. Plans are great to make and execute, but they can’t be where I put all my eggs. At the end of 2010, I was reading quite a bit about business and what you should do to be successful. I’ve realized that I don’t fit in a business mold, or an artist’s mold or any sort of mold. I’m gelatinous by nature (in more ways than one) and have to travel slowly, mold-free, and figure things out as I go.
\n
\nSo, as harmonious as some parts of 2011 were, there were quite a few challenges and just plain weird happenings that I had a hard time applying my one word. I am ready to be more committed to my 2012 word. And yes, Mr. Tyson, I will be making plans, but will look for that right hook once in awhile.
