We were curious about what his teacher would say in the meeting, not knowing what kind of student he would be. Not that he isn’t smart and curious, but he’s also stubborn, talkative and a rule-stretcher.
\n
\nOur oldest son, Abe, had the same Kindergarten teacher, so we knew her well. She’s a teacher that genuinely likes every child she teaches, but takes no guff. And she keeps them engaged throughout the whole year. Not an easy task for the K Set, but we thought Eli might be a challenge.
\n
\nHer first words were,
\n“Do you know what I call Eli?
\nHe’s ‘The Situation’.”
\n
\nWe knew exactly what she meant. And she said it just like we would: a shake of the head, a small smile on her face and a twinkle in her eye. That’s what that little creature we call Eli does – he drives you crazy in the best way possible.
\n
\n<img src=\"http:\/\/cynthomas.com\/journal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/the-sitch-too.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"the-sitch-too\" width=\"500\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3162\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cynthomas.com\/journal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/the-sitch-too.jpg 615w, https:\/\/cynthomas.com\/journal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/the-sitch-too-300x220.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 615px) 100vw, 615px\" \/>
\n
\n
:::<\/center>
\n<img loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"om [one moment] meet up\" src=\"http:\/\/i748.photobucket.com\/albums\/xx125\/alamodestuff\/OM_alamodemeetupbutton.jpg\" class=\"alignleft height=\"100\" width=\"139\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a>OM is *one moment* and is a meetup designed to notice & relish a moment in everyday life.
