\nI love cats and I’m not afraid to admit it. I find them to be a curiosity and a warm little motor to sleep next to. That’s why I’m excited to introduce you to a new member of my family. He is my kitty cousin, living with A-Dog’s brother and her sister-in-law, Jayne.

\nI will be 8 months old on October 4th

\nWhere did you come from (pound, rescue, breeder)?<\/span><\/em>
\nI was a kitten rescue from a shelter. My people were told 3 times I was taken, but my man Dave stopped by to double check and lo and behold I was there. The three of us were destined to be together.

\nDo you have a unique coat or markings?<\/span><\/em>
\nBombays are known for their soft as silk coat – mine, however, is even softer and shinier than that.

\nAre you an indoor cat or an outdoor cat?<\/span><\/em>
\nIndoor, but I can’t help myself and sometimes bolt outside to check things out.

\nWhat nicknames do the humans call you?<\/span><\/em>

\nDo you like any of your nicknames?<\/span><\/em>
\nI love them all and run as fast as I can to see why I am being called.

\nOn my people, the blanket in the family room, the big black chair in the living room, on the coffee table when the sun hits it, the fireplace mantel. I guess I LOVE to nap.

\nOh, most definitely.

\nWhat toy(s) would you recommend to other cats?<\/span><\/em>
\nAnything that makes noise and moves across the floor with ease.

\ncrumpled paper fashioned into a ball

\nWhat is the most fashionable thing you wear?<\/span><\/em>
\nNothing, but I keep hearing the people talk about harnesses to travel in.

\nIf you’re a reader, what is your favorite book?<\/span><\/em>
\nNot much of a reader, but I adore watching sports on the television.

\nWhat is the oddest thing you’ve ever done?<\/span><\/em>
\nRacing around the house at full speed, launching myself off of the coffee table and ending up at the top of the curtains. My people were not amused. Glad I got it out of my system.

\nWhat is your favorite activity?<\/span><\/em>
\nFetching. I exhaust myself fetching. If something is thrown, I MUST bring it back.

\nAre you hygienic or do you need baths\/grooming?<\/span><\/em>
\nCleaning myself is a top priority, but I let my people trim my nails.

\nIs there somewhere you’d like to go but can’t?<\/span><\/em>
\nOn the deck – near the bird feeder.

\nWhen do you purr the loudest?<\/span><\/em>
\nDuring family hug time.

\nWhat is the treat you will do anything for?<\/span><\/em>
\nPineapple yogurt – absolute heaven.

\nJumping onto the hot stove. I really scared the people. I know it was for my own good, but sometimes I can’t help myself.

\nI prefer dogs to other cats.

\nFetching and sitting on command. My people believe me to be the smartest cat in the world.

\nI want more food.

\nAs mentioned, pineapple yogurt.

\n1.To have the whole back yard under a screen that would allow me to have safe access

\n3.The ability to open cat food my cans

\nDon’t ask me to pick one thing. I love them completely.

\nWe think Bombay, but not entirely sure.

\nAlmost 8 months.

\nRescue from the shelter.

\nBruin Thomas, little boy, buddy.

\nWhat words does your cat understand?<\/span><\/em>
\nSit. Want to eat? Where’s your ball? I think he also understands “NO!”, but he acts like he doesn’t most of the time.

\nWhat is the best thing you’ve taught your cat?<\/span><\/em>
\nSitting. Fetching he learned on his own.
\n
\nAre you the boss?<\/span><\/em>
\nNot at all.

\nDo you have other animals?<\/span><\/em>
\nNo.

\nHave you ever considered toilet training?<\/span><\/em>
\nConsidered it, still am, but can’t decide which toilet would be appropriate for that task.

\nWhat drives you crazy about your cat?<\/span><\/em>
\nHis indifference to being corrected.

\nHow does your cat make you laugh?<\/span><\/em>
\nBruin is still a kitten, so he doesn’t have the grace of an adult cat quite yet. When he is in the middle of play time, he still makes some missteps and ends up looking surprised or embarrassed.

\nIs there any weird behavior you’d like to share about your cat?<\/span><\/em>
\nHe insists on burrowing himself under my neck every morning around 5:00. Initially this was fine because he was so tiny. Now, pillows have to be adjusted so we can both continue to sleep. I don’t mind though, actually I love it. He also snores.

\nWhat is your favorite activity with your cat?<\/span><\/em>
\nPlaying fetch. He could go for hours.
\n
\nWhat toy(s) would you recommend to other cat owners?<\/span><\/em>
\nOnes that don’t have things like strings or bells that can chewed off and unintentionally swallowed. Plain paper crumpled up into a ball is Bruin’s favorite toy.

\nWhat is the best toy you’ve given your cat?<\/span><\/em>
\nHe has received many toys, but nothing beats the paper. The best thing we have given him is his scratching post. He uses it all the time.

\nWhere does your cat sleep?<\/span><\/em>
\nEverywhere during the day. At night he prefers the bed.

\nIf your cat could speak only one sentence, what would he\/she say?<\/span><\/em>
\nYes, yes I love you, too – thanks for the all attention, now feed me.

\nWhat is the most annoying behavior your cat exhibits?<\/span><\/em>
\nStratching the leather furniture and jumping onto the stove.
\n
\nDoes your cat wear anything fashionable?<\/span><\/em>
\nNo, but we plan on taking him with us when we travel, so a harness will be in his future.

\nHas your cat ever destroyed anything in your home?<\/span><\/em>
\nWhere do I start? He doesn’t mean to be destructive, but he is a kitten who is full of energy. The fireplace mantel had to be emptied, the fridge had to be cleared of magnets, paper towel rolls have to be rubber band and bathroom doors HAVE to be kept shut because of the toilet paper. Screens have been poked and the leather furniture is now a little more vintage looking.

\nWhat do you love most about your cat?<\/span><\/em>
\nHe is loving, smart, entertaining and has a purr that can be heard from across the room.
