When you have children, Valentine’s Day usually turns into a holiday for them. Cool by me, as the holiday always made me feel uncomfortable from a romantic perspective (kind of forced and sometimes desperate.) But when I saw this idea from Carina of Crow and Canary<\/a>, it was the perfect way to celebrate the holiday for me.

\nI had made a few valentine designs for my Etsy shop<\/a>, but my favorite by far is the little paper fabric dog with the hand-lined envelope below.

\nI was hoping that my swappees were dog people, and after a little research, I found out that they were. One person also has children, so I included some personalized color-your-own valentines for her.

\nA little shout out to one of my favorite things: envelope seals<\/a> (and a favorite Crow and Canary font.) I think they finish a greeting in a personal, but functional way.

\nThere were over 75 people who signed up for the swap and I hope they had as much fun as I did. Thanks to Carina for creating and organizing such a lovely idea.
