Have you heard about the PawPawty?
About once a month, some of the pets on Twitter (called anipals) get together and party, or, uh, Pawty! There are Bark Tenders, DJs, food, prizes and security (some anipals get out of hand) and a good time is had by all creatures.
But it’s not all drinking, frivolity and trouble-making — there is always a charity that benefits greatly from these events. As of July 2010, these twitter get-togethers have raised over $34,489 for animal charities all over the world. The PawPawty couldn’t be what it is without Frugal Dougal (@frugaldougal) and his staff. I’ve only been to one or two PawPawties, as we generally keep our paws off the computer on the weekends. But we, me and A-Dog, love the idea of the PawPawty so much, that we give a prize of custom photo cards at every event.
