I thought it might be fun to highlight some of the TV, music and movies I think may be a little off the radar, but are worth your time. I won’t do a typical review, just a watch/listen/go to this and why. Maybe you’ll discover a new favorite or you can share one with me.

The Good Wife focuses on Alicia Parker, wife of a disgraced Chicago politician. She’s struggling to gain a solid reputation as a lawyer after being a mom and wife. Played by Julianna Margulies, Alicia is strong and furious and vulnerable. The way this character negotiates the different areas of her life are realistic and fascinating to watch. I would argue that no other modern female character in prime time is written better than Alicia.
The show has courtroom drama, family drama and even some romance creating a balanced blend of good TV. I don’t think there is one character that isn’t interesting, making for entertainment that seems more real than a reality show. The premiere of the second season is tonight. If you haven’t seen the show, I recommend that you catch up on the first season and get those DVRs humming.
The Good Wife airs on CBS.
