Isn’t it pretty?
This shot is SOOC (straight out of the camera.)
Today, I was supposed to post about a DIY project I’ve been working on, but it’s just short of complete.
So, the tomato is kind of a DIY. It was one of the few things that grew in our square foot garden this year. Having the CSA bounty, we purposely held back on what we planted. Next year, we’ll have a good idea of what to plant that will compliment the farm share.
We ate this little sucker last night on some turkey burgers from the grill with fresh corn on the cob. Seriously good food.
Happy Monday, people!

That’s a beauty! 🙂 I love the look of “real” food… that hasn’t been waxed. lol We’re having tomato sandwiches & corn on the cob for dinner tonight. (Meatless Monday) The tomatoes and the corn are both from our local organic CSA. In fact, they rent land at our elementary school and grow the corn there! They also had each child in the school plant a pumpkin seed which are soon to be harvested with the help of the kids! Such a fun community project! 🙂
I love that idea, Patti! I wish our school would do something similar. I’ll have to mention this idea. And planting pumpkins is so smart — they represent fun to kids, getting them excited about growing real food.
