Well, crikey! I’m finally in double digits for reaching my goal in August. After three months, it should be more. And the funny thing is (weird funny, not fun funny), I know exactly what I’m doing wrong to make the loss so s-l-o-w.
I’m a yo-yo-er. So, I’ve done this before at various times in my life. In my 20s, all I needed to do was some cardio everyday, stop eating crap and I could lose 30 pounds in 3 months. My 43-year-old self needs a bit more of a strategy. I need much more structure in my daily life to accomplish what needs to get done, both personally and in business. This irks the part of me that likes spontaneity, so I’ll have to figure out how to balance that with the Virgo traits.
These are the things I need to do, in no particular order:
Yoga daily
A little ab work daily
Continue cardio routine
Do a better job on vacation
As of today, I still have 152 days until my goal date. That’s a pretty big chunk of time to get this thing right. And the goal is not the number. It’s learning behavior and learning to like the parts I think I don’t.
