If you’ve been reading this series, you know that I am a huge fan of the name Beans. I’m not sure why I like it so much, but the dogs always seem to fit the name in a spunky, original, free-spirited sort of way. Let’s check out Beans from Reno.

\nI was rescued in 2005. I was wandering around a local truck stop. After a few days, some nice humans took me home, gave me medical attention and lots of love. They had a busy household, so I moved in with my family.

\nI like Beansie-Rocket. I have a bit of an airplane obsession.

\nI love to walk along Steamboat Creek which runs behind my house. There are lots of interesting holes to sniff, trees to pee on and butterflies to chase.

\nMy yellow blankie. Oh, so, cozy. I go there when I need some alone time.

\nI have an airplane collar with my name and cellphone embroidered on it. Girls like it.

\nHe was rescued from Boomtown, a local truck stop. He had been wandering around for several days. Friends took him home, cared for him and gave him to my sister-in-law. She had several large dogs so he came to live with us. We were just starting our family and he was the perfect addition.

\nAccording to my son, he doesn\u2019t need to be taught anything, \u201cHe came programmed to do things automatically\u201d. It\u2019s true!

\nHow does your dog make you laugh?<\/span><\/strong><\/em>
\nHe\u2019s a little dog who barks like mad at every horse that goes past our house. He acts like he can take them down. He also barks at airplanes, but if a hawk flies overhead, he takes cover.

\nIs there any weird behavior you’d like to share about your dog?<\/span><\/strong><\/em>
\nWhen my husband is out of town, he won\u2019t go to bed until he leads me to each child\u2019s room to see they are OK. Also, when my daughter is gone, he lays by the door until she returns.

\nWhat is your favorite walk\/hike to take?<\/span><\/strong><\/em>
\nWe have a big yard. Several times a day, he runs every inch of it. We call it \u201csecuring the perimeter\u201d. He\u2019s also a great companion for neighborhood walks while the kids run or ride bikes.

\nWhat is the most annoying behavior your dog exhibits?<\/span><\/strong><\/em>

\nHe chases cyclists. Lots of road races go past our house and I live in fear he\u2019ll cause a major pile up.

\nHe\u2019s a nudist at heart.

\nHas your dog ever destroyed anything in your home?<\/span><\/strong><\/em>
\nHe\u2019s eaten a few plastic ponies, but who hasn\u2019t?

\nHe is my sidekick and faithful protector of our kids and our home. He is snuggly, sweet, fun and loving. He means the world to me.
